Interim Senior Pastor
Will Hesterberg has served in ministry now for 44 years; 38 years in pastoring in the PCA and 6 years as Executive Director of Development for ITEM, a reformed mission agency that recruits and sends reformed pastors, professors, and ruling elders to train national Christian leaders currently in 14 locations throughout the world. Will served as lead pastor at Concord from 1993-2013 before retiring from the pastorate to serve the mission agency. He holds a Bachelor’s degree from SIUE in International Developmental Economics, a Masters of Divinity and a Masters of Theology from Covenant Seminary, and post graduate work in history at Western Kentucky University. He serves on the Board of Monroe County Christian School and as treasurer of the Board of Monroe County Nursing Home Memorial Endowment Fund. He and Lori have been happily married for 43 years and have two grown children, Anna Ripplinger who attends Concord with husband Ethan, and Barton Hesterberg who with his wife, Beth, and daughter, Naomi, live in College Station, Texas. Will loves gardening, woodworking, and lots of other hobbies.
Shepherding Ministries Coordinator
Tom Jones has fifty-seven years of pastoral experience. Tom has served churches in Illinois, Tennessee, and Missouri–thirteen of those years as a church planter in southern Illinois. He worked for twenty-five years as a director for Fresh Start Seminars, an international divorce recovery ministry, and served sixteen years as a pastoral counselor at a church in St. Louis. Tom has taught speech and homiletics at the college and seminary levels. He is an author and an amateur songwriter and singer. Tom and his wife, Reidun, live in Columbia, Illinois. They have nine children, fourteen grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren. They are tired.
Education and Outreach Coordinator
Ron Jones grew up in the Waterloo area. He attended Southern Illinois University in Edwardsville and has a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and Sociology. His work experience includes camping ministry, music ministry, teaching, and retail. He has served as a deacon at Northwest Presbyterian Church in Columbus, Ohio and as an elder at Concord Presbyterian Church in Waterloo, Illinois. He loves the Lord and looks forward to witnessing and participating in what the Lord has planned for Concord and the community. He enjoys playing the piano, singing praises, and spending time with his wife, Sue, and children Erin, Josh, Sara, Geroid, and grandchildren Caden, Owen, Jackson, Kristian, De’Ana, and Leila.
Beth Bicklein grew up in southern Illinois and graduated from Southern Illinois University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. She is married to her high school sweetheart, Jim, and is the mother of three adult children and a son-in-law–and is a doting grandmother. She likes to spend her free time swimming, raising chickens, gardening, studying Bible history and archaeology, and having a lot of fun with family and friends. Her prayer is that God’s kingdom will grow and bless many people at Concord and throughout the wider community.

Youth Ministry Intern
grew up on a small cattle ranch in the Chattanooga, Tennessee area. He attended Covenant College where he graduated with a degree in Biblical and Theological Studies. He is currently a student at Covenant Seminary in Saint Louis where is working toward a Master’s of Divinity degree. He is married to Jéssika, who is currently a Phd student in chemistry at Washington University in Saint Louis. Zach enjoys spending his free time playing hockey, skiing, rock climbing, cooking, eating, and reading.
